Objectives: The Phase transition scheme of Ferroelectric Liquid Crystal (FLC) sample has been studied in a temperature range 500C to 950C. Methods: material was procured from Merck, Germany and used as such without any further purification, for the measurement optical rotation transmittance. Polarizing Optical Microscopy (POM) technique different phases existing were observed by placing having planar alignment under crossed polarizer arrangement. Findings: sharp variation values transmittance at phase points clearly indicates that exist experimental sample. From LDR vs Temperature Rotation study, four obtained. SmC* exists 300C – 620C 620C, SmA* occurs. shows 760C transit Nematic which occurs 860C lastly, Isotropic appears 860C. Novelty: Some researchers have same but where they able observe only two initial namely whereas present study reports (SmC*, SmA*, nematic isotropic) (FLC). can also be carried out using other like Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) is simpler cost-effective. applied liquid crystal samples their behaviour.
